A young man unable to bend to convention carves out a solitary path for himself. The efforts of friends and family to bring him back to normality are in vain. Every attempt to make him change his ways, whether by his mother, his girlfriend or those around him, distances him still further from mainstream society. The young man has chosen his own fate, which seems to liberate him while everyone else is trapped in their empty everyday lives.
One of the interesting young Greek writers, Giannis Mavritsakis (Wolfgang, The blind spot, Kolodoulia), enters the traumatic and difficult world of adolescence, which refuses to conform and resists authority. In the hands of the acclaimed French director and writer Olivier Py (director until last year of the Théâtre de l'Odéon in Paris and from 2013 director of the Festival d'Avignon) and with its strong cast, Vitrioli promises to be one of this seasons most celebrated productions.
