Dafni Drakopoulou
She was born and raised in Heraklion, Crete. She is an actress and a dance artist. She studied acting at the Drama School of the Athens Conservatoire (2019–2023), dance at the Greek National School of Dance (2014–2017), and journalism at the Department of Communication and Media Studies of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (2012–2017). As a dancer, she has collaborated with Iris Karayan, Persa Stamatopoulou, Christos Papadopoulos, Patricia Apergi, Andonis Foniadakis, Xenia Koghilaki, Nadi Gogoulou, and other independent choreographers. In theatre, she has worked with Katerina Giannopoulou on the productions Phenomenon (Athens Epidaurus Festival, 2025), Übergewicht, unwichtig: Unform. Ein europäisches Abendmahl, Theseum Theatre, 2025), and Generation Lost (National Theatre of Greece, 2023), with Irene Lambrinopoulou on the production The Slender Girl (National Theatre of Greece, Experimental Stage for Emerging Artists, 2024), and with Mario Banushi on the production Goodbye, Lindita (Theater tri-bühne Stuttgart, 2024, and Triennale Milano, 2025). She has appeared in the short films The Longest Day of the World (dir. Dimitris Charalampopoulos, 2023) and Pleiades (or Going Home) (dir. Jacqueline Lentzou, Film Fest Gent, 2023). She has also worked as a movement director in theatre productions at the National Theatre of Greece and the Athens Epidaurus Festival. In 2021, she was selected as a Dance Fellow of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation through the ARTWORKS Artist Support Program.
