Dimitris Roidis
Dimitris Roidis is an actor and musician, a top graduate of the Drama School of the National Theatre of Northern Greece (2019). He specializes in sound design and audio documentaries. He is a founding member of the group No Man's Land Rabbits, with which he created devised performances (2019-2022). He has also collaborated in theater as an actor with directors such as G. Leontaris, M. Sionas, Ch. Pechlivanidis, N. Orfanos, P. Gizotis, and G. Skarlatos. He has attended acting, movement, and research seminars with Phillip Zarrilli, Rossalba T. Guerrero, K. Augustijnen, Rootlessroot, K. Fiorettos, S. Kakalas, G. Mavragani, D. Agartzidis, G. Koutlis, as well as directing seminars with G. Paraskevopoulos, G. Leontaris, D. Karantzas, S. Karagianni, and Io Voulgaraki. He has composed music for the following performances: The City, directed by P. Gizotis (2024), Τhe Night Just Before the Forests, directed by G. Skarlatos (2023), The Elephant, directed by L. Giovanidis (2023), Werther or I Did My Best, directed by D. Charalampopoulos (2023), Interior, directed by P. Gizotis (2023), and Rabbithole, directed by E. Chroni (2022). The audio work A City Walk co-created with A. Mistriotis and I. Siskou—won the ENS Louis Lumière Scholarship Award at the 25th Thessaloniki International Documentary Film Festival (2023). In the same year, he attended the Sound Documentary International Program at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure Louis Lumière in Paris. The audio documentary Nuisibles, co-created with South Korean artist Ka-Young Park, has been screened and recognized at festivals, as well as on radio platforms in France, India, England, and Greece.
