ECATI is the alias of the composer/music producer Antonis Hadjiantonis. Developing a distinct complexity and depth in his production, his signature is a cross between eastern Mediterranean sounds, minimal electro beats, techniques reminiscent of "musique concrete" and soundscape composition. When it comes to songwriting, the lyrics in Greek revolve mainly around the themes of love and desire, conveying the feeling of some kind of poetic sound diary. Since 2020 he has been living in Athens where he works, among other things, with sound design and music composition for theater/dance performances and films. He collaborated in the performances Of Eros and Psyche (2021) directed by Yannis Panagopoulos (All Greece is one culture), Burying my brother on the sidewalk (2022), Concord Floral (2022), Rat Park (2023) directed by Yannis Karaoulis (Cyprus Theatre Organisation), Lulu (Anesis Theatre 2022) The flapping of wings (National Theatre Experimental Stage 2023) directed by Sofia Antoniou, JERKS (best greek short award- athens pff 2022), Seismos (Onassis Stegi 2023) directed by Vassilis Villaras. He has composed the music for the film 17000'' (program Terpsichore, Cyprus Ministry of Culture/ ADD festival 2022) and for the dance performances 98 y.o. (2021) and The day after (2022) by choreographer Harry Koussios (Cyprus Choreography Platform), Rhythms and Blues choreography by Melina Sofokleous (Venice Biennale di Danza 2021). Ecati experiments with analogue synthesizers, electric guitars and samplers, creating sonic fantasies.
