Eva Mir
Eva Mir is a playwright, stage director, and screenwriter. Among her works are Héroes en diciembre (Calderón de la Barca Award 2019) and La Conmoción, both premiered at the CDN in Madrid. Her play Lockdown was premiered in Washington D.C., and she directed Gente Sencilla by Anna Gschnitzer at the Teatro Español. She has received creation grants such as the INAEM Current Dramaturgies Grant, the Spanish Ministry of Culture’s Mobility Grant in Avignon, the European Residencies Program of the CDN in Berlin, Brussels, Madrid, and Vilnius with her play Un cuerpo se desplaza, and the writing residency at La Chartreuse in Villeneuve-les-Avignon. She has been part of the jury for various national awards including those from INAEM, SGAE, and ESCAC. In recent years, she has premiered the plays Insomnio and Senyoreta Júlia in Valencia and won the International Comedy Award from Naves de Matadero for Añoranza y siesta. In 2024, she premiered Jalando at #MEETYOU Festival in Valladolid and Baby no more for VVAA Collective at Teatre Nacional de Catalunya. In 2025, she premieres PRÓDIGO at Teatre el Musical and Teatre Rialto in Valencia, and she has begun writing 'Los que miran', her new play.
