Eva Vlassopoulou

Born in Athens in 1983. She studied acting at ALRA (Academy of Live and Recorded Arts) in London. She is a director and screenwriter in both theater and cinema. She has directed the productions: The Taming of the Shrew by William Shakespeare (Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center, 2025), Tender Napalm by Philip Ridley (Kamiros Space, 2023), The Matchmaking of Antigone by Vassilis Ziogas (Theater of the New World - Lower Space, 2018), Bumper Cars by Eva Vlassopoulou (Theater of the New World – Lower Space, 2015) and MAM by Sakis Serefas (stage reading, Tristan Bates Theatre 2009). Since 2013 she has been working regularly as assistant director with Ektoras Lygizos and collaborated with institutions such as the Athens and Epidaurus Festival, the National Theatre of Greece, Onassis Stegi, the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center, among others. Her work Bumper Cars was distinguished in the theatrical works competition of the Eurodram 2020 platform. In 2021 she was selected by the Goethe Institut to participate in the New Stage SouthEast program for emerging theatrical writers. In cinema, she has worked as script editor on the films: Animal by Sofia Exarchou (official participation in the International Competition Section of the 76th Locarno International Film Festival 2023, Golden Alexander at the Thessaloniki Film Festival 2023), Mignon/Mirage directed by Sofia Georgovasili (in production) and Summer Spell directed by Rinio Dragasakis (pre-production). She has worked as script consultant on the short film Flowers in her Head by Katerina Zisoudi and co-signs the screenplay of the feature film Anchored directed by Katerina Mavrogeorgi.
