Katerina Gevetzi is a dancer, choregrapher and dance teacher. She studied dance at the Higher Professional Dance School Niki Kontaxaki in Athens and at SEAD (Salzburg's Experimental Academy of Dance) in Salzburg. She has also studied Greek Literature at Kapodistriako University of Athens and she is currently a postgraduate student of Theory and History of Art at the Athens School of Fine Arts. Until 2015 she was based in Vienna where she collaborated with the Flowmotion Dance Company and Transitheart Productions, as well as with the Berlin State Opera.
In Greece she has collaborated as a dancer with Maria Koliopoulou, Mariela Nestora, Sania Strimpakou, Antigone Gyra, Athanasia Kanellopoulou, Kosmas Kosmopoulos, Elizabeth Pliakostathi, Mary Pardalaki, Ermira Goro, Willi Dorner, Chrysanthi Badeka, Spyros Kouvaras, and others. She teaches contemporary dance, coordinates educational art programs, and has been a movement teacher at the Delos drama school. She is involved in inclusive dance within the organization Liminal, where she coordinates workshops and choreographs for the inclusive dance group Artogether. She also works in theater as a choreographer. She has collaborated with directors such as Argyris Xafis, Kostas Papakonstantinou, Sofia Karagianni, Thanasis Megalopoulos, Elissaios Vlachos, Rubini Moschochoriti, Phoebus Symeonidis, Amalia Bennett, Nikita Milivojevic, Themelis Glynatsis, in performances at the Greek National Theater, the Greek National Opera, the Municipal Theater Olympia and in independent theater productions. During the 2025-2026 season, she is collaborating with the choreographers Maria Koliopoulou and Spyros Kouvaras and participating in Pina Bausch's Kontakthof, which will be presented at the National Theater. She is an amateur singer and has participated in the contemporary opera To Foulari by Dimitra Trypani.
