Manolis Mavromatakis
He works in theatre, cinema TV and Radio, since 1991, having continuous participation as an actor in more than 50 theatrical and musical performances (some of them being presented in several International Theater Festivals), and in more than 50 fiction movies, short films, TV and Radio productions. He has also directed two theatrical performances for the National Theatre of Greece and one for
the Athens Festival. He was teacher of acting in Veaki Drama School.
For his participation in C. Grauzinis’ Daphnis and Chloe, Pleasure trip he was honored by the Greek theatre critics, with the 2007 Karolos Koun Award for Theatrical Acting.
He is also honored with the Best Actor Award, in 2014 Nashville (USA)
International Film Festival and in 2015 Tehran (Iran) International Urban
Film Festival for his participation in G. Tsemperopoulos; film The Enemy
Within, in 2007 Thessaloniki (Greece) Film Festival for his participation in
K. Kapakas; film Urania, in Athens (Greece) Short Film Festival for his
participation in J. Charitidis’ short film Cowboy, and in 2007 Drama
(Greece) Short Film Festival for his participation in K. Athousakis; short
film Spinalonga.
He has also participated in Regis Roinsard’s film, Les Traducteurs – 2020,
Francois Uzan’s film, On Sourit pour la Photo – 2021 και Lotfy Nathan’s
film, The Carpender’s Son – 2024, as well as in Amazon’s miniseries
production, Salade Grecque - 2022, directed by Cédric Klapisch, Lola
Doillon and Antoine Garceau.
