Marilena while studying Management Science and Technology at the University Of Economics And Business, she got in the Greek National School Of Dance (K.S.O.T) and graduated with distinction in 2012.
After graduating she participated in productions by Hellenic Dance Company in many roles over the years such as a performer ,a rehearsal director and a project manager.During that time she had the chance to work closely with  famous choreographers such as Akram Khan,Jasmin Vardimon,Rootlessroot,JUKSTA,Martha Graham Company to name a few.Alongside Hellenic she was part of the faculty in National School of Dance as well as directing the annual OPEN STUDIO for the academy.
In 2012 she became a London based performer collaborating with the award winning choreographer Jasmin Vardimon firstly for one of the leading roles in Justitia ,later as the Course Leader of JV2(Professional Development Diploma) and JVIntensive since 2014 and later as the rehearsal director for the new productions Pinocchio and MEDUSA  touring internationally.Throughout her collaboration with the company she has been the main Education Facilitator leading and coordinating educational schemes and projects internationally.In 2019, she moved to Salzburg to take on the role of  the Academy Coordinator of SEAD(Salzburg Experimental Academy of Dance) as well as the Company Manager of BODHI PROJECT dance company getting involved in funding processes and Cultural management.
So far Marilena has been collaborating with institutions,universities,theatres and festivals around the world such as National School of Dance in Athens,Athens & Epidaurus Festival,Kalamata Festival, Institute of the Arts Barcelona,Salzburg Experimental Academy of Dance,Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance,The Hong Kong Academy of Performing Arts,The Place,Royal Holloway University,Bristol Institute of Performing Arts,International Dance Week-Budapest,Dance Cultural Centre,Arc For DanceGreenwich Dance,Salzburger Festspiele, Tanzquartier Wien,ARGEkultur Salzburg,SZENE Salzburg,Osterfestival-Tirol,National Theatre of Greece etc.
