Melina Kotselou
Melina Kotselou (b. 1993) was born and raised in Thessaloniki, Greece. She studied Philology with a specialization in Modern Greek Studies at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and is a graduate of the Drama School of the National Theatre of Northern Greece. In 2025, she begins her postgraduate studies in Gender, Society, and Politics at Panteion University.
Her upcoming work in cinema includes the feature film Patty Is Such a Girly Name (2026), directed by George Georgopoulos, in which she plays the lead role. In 2023, she starred in the short films Magma, directed by Lia Tsalta, and Orange Juice, directed by Dimitris Zahos. That same year, she appeared in the feature film My Big Fat Greek Wedding 3, directed by Nia Vardalos.
She has attended the Oxbelly "Acting on Camera" workshop at Costa Navarino, organized by Faliro House Productions.
Her stage work is continuous and diverse, marked by collaborations with notable Greek theatre directors. She has worked with Sofia Vgenopoulou on Border Lines and Biederman and the Fire Raisers, and with Eleni Efthimiou on Crossroads. In 2021, she was a core ensemble member in Class Enemy, directed by Georgia Mavragani at the National Theatre of Greece. The following year, she collaborated again with Mavragani on an adaptation of Frogs by Aristophanes, presented at the Municipal Theatre of Kavala during the 65th Philippi Festival.
In 2023, she starred in Call Me Sugar, directed by Michalis Pitidis and Christina Kipreou, produced by the Onassis Foundation as part of the Future Now Festival. That same year, she also performed in the independent production Human Resources, directed by Niki Doulgeraki.
In 2024, she appeared on the Main Stage of the National Theatre of Greece in Dreamplay, directed by Georgia Mavragani.
In 2025–2026, she performs in Alice in Wonderland, an adaptation of the classic tale directed by Georgia Mavragani, on the Children’s Stage of the National Theatre of Greece.
