Nikos Lekakis
Nikos Lekakis was born in Piraeus in 1993. He studied acting at the Greek Art Theatre Karolos Koun (graduated 2015) and performance-making and directing in the MA Advanced Theatre Practice at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama – University of London (RCSSD), UK (graduated 2024).
As an actor, he has collaborated, among others, with, N. Karathanos, Y. Mandafounis, K. Rigos, M. Theoharis, G. Kalavrianos, C. Theodoridis, G. Lyras, M. Kalbari, and K. Karali, working with institutions in Greece and abroad such as the National Theatre of Greece, the Greek National Opera, the Athens and Epidaurus Festival, and the Festival Off Avignon.
Recent film appearances include the short film Escape from a Fragile Planet by T. Tsimpinis (Best LGBTQI Short Film, Cannes World Film Festival 2021) and Thursday Night Sorbet by G. Chartofylakidis (Best Comedy Short Film, Lonely Wolf International Film Festival 2022).
His recent television work includes roles in the series Wild Bees (2020–2022) and O paradeisos ton kyrion (2022–2023).
As a director, his work includes Best Before (Camden People’s Theatre, 2024), The Window Project (SideStep Festival & Voila Festival at Etcetera Theatre, 2025), LOOK (SHIFT SPACE, Theatre Deli & Camden People’s Theatre, 2025), and Prometheus NOW (Camden Fringe Festival at The Courtyard Theatre, 2025).
