Stavros Balis
He was born and raised in Athens. He studied architecture at the Department of Architectural Engineering of the National Technical University of Athens, from where he graduated in 2017 with honors, and for one semester at the Instituto Superior Técnico of Lisbon. At the same time, he studied classical piano at the "Nefeli" music school and holds a degree with honors. He has worked in Zurich and Athens in the fields of architecture, scenography, costume design and landscape architecture. The main axis of his personal investigation is the design and perception of space in the light of creative expression and functionality. He has collaborated with Tina Tzoka, Eva Manidaki, Assi Dimitrolopoulou, Nikos Mastorakis, Giorgos Matziaris, Elian Roumie, and additionally with Yiannis Kalabrianos, Sofia Vgenopoulou, Eleana Tsichli, Amalia Bennett, Yiannis Moschos, Katerina Skourli, Dimitris Papaioannou, Sarandos Zervoulakos and Christoforos Christofis. Works in which he has participated have been presented at the National Theatre, the Athens & Epidaurus Festival, the Odeon of Herodes Atticus, SNFCC, Municipal Regional Theater of Crete, Karolos Koun Art Theatre, the Contemporary Theatre, the Sfendoni Theatre, the Michalis Kakogiannis Foundation etc.
