Artistic Residencies are an outreach and cultural exchange programme aimed at emerging theatre artists based in Europe with the aim of promoting mobility and nurturing the new generation of theatre artists.
In addition to an open call for European creators to apply to be hosted at the National Theatre of Greece in Athens, the NTG is also inviting artists based in Greece who are active in the field of theatre to participate in the Artistic Residency Programme in collaborating European theatres.
The artists will join a major theatre organisation, working with its staff and familiarising themselves with the way the theatre works, with current artistic trends, and with the cultural life of the host city, in order to broaden their theoretical knowledge and practical experience.
The programme is aimed at playwrights, directors and dramaturgs up to the age of 39.
