Walking a tightrope on the edge of social tolerance, exiled from the world of the normal and the permissible, the transvestites living in a huge earthen pit reminiscent of an abandoned quarry tell the stories of how they came to be leading their "sinful" and dangerous lives. Their provocative appearance and unconventional behavior challenge the mores of society, which feels threatened. The local residents campaign against them, the local church and civil authorities try to make them see reason and join them, while the media try to soften the opposition, imposing on them a more refined and aesthetically acceptable way of life.
There is a ten-minute interval between part one and part two.
