The Experimental Stage of the National Theatre of Greece is to present two performances of Please, continue (Hamlet),an interactive play by Roger Bernat and Yan Duyvendak which has been performed to great success in many other countries.
In the play, Hamlet goes on trial for the murder of Polonius.Taking part are current or former members of the judiciary, lawyers, forensic experts and psychiatrists, who testify for and against Hamlet.The accused, as well as the witnesses,Ophelia and Gertrude, are played by actors.
The audience, as the jury, will deliver the final verdict on the fate of the Danish prince.In this way, the audience becomes implicit in the action and is responsible for the outcome.
The play will be performed in Greek.
