Death of a Salesman

by Arthur Miller

From 24.03.2016 to 29.05.2016

ZILLER BUILDING - MAIN STAGE

Having worked his entire life with dignity to support his family and pass on his values to his children, Willy Loman now faces the shock of being fired, as his productivity has declined and he is no longer seen as an asset by the system that employs him. Yet he battles to convince those who doubt him – and most of all himself – that his ideas were not wrong and that sooner or later he will be vindicated, until the moment of his final tragic disappointment.

A play that condemns the materialistic society and the immoral brutality of the capitalist system, Death of a Salesman is not only a fine example of Arthur Miller’s political realism, but is also a timeless repudiation of the American Dream and the joint accountability of all those who uphold it without understanding how it has been distorted.
