General Titus Andronicus returns to Rome in triumph after his successful campaign against the Goths. Among his spoils is the defeated Queen Tamora. When Titus decides to sacrifice one of her sons to avenge the death of his own children, an endless cycle of violence is set in motion. The thirst for vengeance and the perversion of power trigger the most extreme human instincts, without any respite. This is a play in which human cruelty knows no limits.
