What is time? How is it possible to walk so slowly but travel so fast? Can someone’s time be stolen? And who is that little girl with the strange name who has the fate of the world in her hands?

An allegorical tale about time that can be measured in heartbeats. A story about truth, love and friendship brought to life in a musical production full of comedy and dance that will keep you on the edge of your seat right up to the end.

The story begins in the ruins of an old theatre on the outskirts of a big city. Momo, a strange little girl who lives there, has an amazing gift: she is a wonderful listener. When the men in grey invade the lives of the city’s residents, people change, as if they have an unknown illness.

Ende’s landmark book, first published in Germany in 1973, has been translated into more than 40 languages and has been described by critics and philosophers as one of the most important books of the 20th century. It is also a story of today’s children, who are growing up in a world that seems to be constantly counting down, a world that has no time for childish behaviour, for daydreaming and wandering, for imaginary games and adventures, or, in a nutshell, for whatever cannot be counted, weighed and measured.
