In the summer of 2020, the National Theatre of Greece’s open-air theatre was inaugurated at the “School of Athens - Irene Papas”, where the NTG Drama School is now housed.  
The theatre is similar in layout to the Ancient Theatre of Epidaurus and its orchestra (the performance space for the chorus) has a diameter of 19.5 metres. The theatre has 765 seats, in three stands (465 seats in the central stand and 150 seats in each of the two side stands). Finally, the basic infrastructure for lighting equipment can be supplemented according to the needs of each production.
