Live Streaming: The performances continue!

Live online broadcasts direct from the stages of the National Theatre of Greece

As the country’s leading theatre organisation, associated by definition with artistic creation and an outward-looking approach, the National Theatre of Greece is introducing live streaming to its stages, enabling theatregoers to see the productions in the current season that have been interrupted by the new lockdown: The lady from Maxim’s, Paper moon, To you who are listening to me. In these difficult and unprecedented conditions that we are all experiencing, theatre has found the most direct way to eliminate distances and enter our homes, bringing us moments of mental uplift.

The NTG’s Artistic Director, Dimitris Lignadis, notes: The theatre is innate to humankind and cannot be replaced by any other medium. The live interaction between actors and audience will always be unique. At this moment in time we are looking for something to substitute the theatre, not to replace it.

The livestream will be available at: livestream.n-t.gr with the purchase of an electronic ticket (password required).

Kindly log on in good time, as the production is performed live on stage and streamed in real time. Please note that the performance will not be available for viewing once it is finished.
