“We Stay at Home” with Culture (vol. II)
Online streaming sessions with National Theatre’s cancelled productions
The National Theatre of Greece, following the initiative of the Ministers of Culture and Sports, as well as Digital Governance and responding to the urgent need for the development of alternative ways to make culture accessible to citizens, launches a series of online streaming with plays cancelled suddenly due to measures taken to stop COVID -19 pandemic.
In such an unprecedented and brooding environment we all experience, the National Theatre of Greece is present through its website (n-t.gr) and takes a special place in everyone’s daily reality.
Visit n-t.gr and watch free of charge streaming this week (April 10th to 12th) as follows:
- “Macbeth” by William Shakespeare - A co-production with the Municipal Theatre of Piraeus - Directed by Dimitris Lignadis, Artistic Director of the NTG (With subtitles in Greek & English)
Friday at 21:00
- “Hotel Éternité” written and directed by Giannis Kalavrianos
Sunday at 21:00
- “A thousand and one tales” by Mike Kenny – Directed by Vasia Attarian & Myto Makridi (Young People`s Stage – Ages: 5 )
Saturday at 17:00 & Sunday at 12:00
New online streaming initiative by the National Theatre of Greece
- Cyrano de Bergerac by Edmond Rostand, Directed by Nikos Karathanos (2010 - 2011) - From Sat. April 11th (13:00) to Sun. April 12th (13:00)
Online streaming takes place real-time as if a normal performance and is available – accessible only 30 minutes following the scheduled start.
