The National Theatre invites emerging artists, regardless of gender, up to 39 years of age, based in the European Union, who are active in the field of theatre as playwrights, directors, or dramaturgs, to participate in the third Artistic Residency Program, in collaboration with partner European theatres.

On the one hand, three selected guest artists of Greek nationality will have the opportunity to be hosted by a major European theatre organization, to collaborate with its staff, to become familiar with the institution’s operations, the current artistic trends, and the cultural life of the host city, in order to deepen their research and practice.

On the other hand, three emerging artists, regardless of gender, who hold the nationality of an EU member state (excluding Greek nationality), are based in the European Union and meet the above criteria, will collaborate with the National Theatre of Greece, become acquainted with the current artistic trends and the cultural life of Athens, and gain valuable experiences for their own research and practice.

The duration of the artistic residency program is up to 74 days and will take place between August 2025 and November 2025.
