Εθνικό Θέατρο

The Young People’s Stage is aimed at children of all ages, offering high-quality theatre with the power to excite, awaken and transform young audiences.

In the 2022-23 season we are proud to present a wide and comprehensive range of works on the Children’s Stage and the Youth Stage. Three different productions tell stories that embrace truths about life with sensitivity and curiosity, firing the imagination and inspiring hope as they question and explore our world and our place in it. Theatre for young audiences is a highly fertile ground for creative activity, as all the artists involved in our productions for children and teenagers this year ably demonstrate.

At the same time, the Young People’s Stage is a space for the development of a wide and varied network of artistic and educational activities: workshops for all ages from 3 to the over-65s; educational programmes linked to our productions, which are available in schools and expand the theatrical experience into the classroom; projects to create new plays for children and young people; and online τουinitiatives that eliminate distance, bringing together young people from all over Greece and releasing their creative potential.

The ultimate goal of all these ideas from the Young People’s Stage is for both children and adults to discover the magic of the theatre, to create something important together, and for their experience of the theatrical process to change the way they see the world.
