PEIRAIOS 260 - D BUILDING

10 April 1912.The British ocean liner “Titanic” sets off from the port of Southampton on its maiden voyage, bound for New York.At 11.40pm on 14 April 1912, it hits an iceberg. There are insufficient lifeboats for all the passengers. At 2.20am on 15 April 1912, the Titanic sinks beneath the icy waters of the Atlantic, taking more than 1500 people to their deaths. The impossible has happened. The gigantic ship, which its owners, White Star Line, had boasted was “practically unsinkable”, has disappeared in the space of 2½ hours, 400 miles south of Newfoundland.

After the sensational Bossa Nova, Konstantinos Rigos returns to the GNT with the story of the legendary Titanic, creating a mysterious and alluring world whose innermost secrets we are privy to.He is joined by 16 outstanding actors and dancers, who meet on stage to compare their stories, challenging the boundaries between fiction and reality.Konstantinos Rigos uses live music, dance and narration to take us on a journey of surprises, during the course of which anything might happen.
